Video games gone viral

Like a persistent neighbour showing you their new grandchild, when videos go ‘viral’, everyone (well, maybe not necessarily everyone) is meant to watch them and enjoy.

From the recent doco on the African war lord Joseph Kony, to Fenton the runaway dog in Richmond Park with his rather annoyed swearing owner  in the background and for all the romantics in existance, there was an American man who proposed to the tune of Bruno Mars: what makes a video so good, you just have to see it?

Videos that make people talk are talked about because they involve several things – the unexpected, the topical, the determination and the sometimes unexpected determination of the key character or cause.

It is about the participation in, the sharing and the passing on of news.

So what videos make you sit up and take notice of a video that everyone should be watching and talking about (of course until the next thing comes along…)

Share with us your comments.

Can't get my eyes off you...

In the days of 24 hour, rolling news and everything on the web in video form if we so wish, this website is strangely addictive.

It's sort of like the Olympic marathon but slower, less action, no medals and each athlete holding a moving flame above your head... so it has suspense...

Do Barclays really lose out, or is the customer still the victim?

With the announcement of the Barclays Chairman leaving, can we feel sorry for the banks at losing one of their key players, or has this further dampened all hopes of customer trust in the people who make the specific  point of keeping our money safe?

Is his departure going to stop the poor decision making?
We welcome comments and opinions.
