Do Barclays really lose out, or is the customer still the victim?

With the announcement of the Barclays Chairman leaving, can we feel sorry for the banks at losing one of their key players, or has this further dampened all hopes of customer trust in the people who make the specific  point of keeping our money safe?

Is his departure going to stop the poor decision making?
